 Shame on me for posting such crummy pictures of such a fantastic polish!!  EEK!
 This is two coats of Chanel Taboo, a gloriously beautiful and shimmery vampy purple.
 Application was easy, although it was getting thick on the second coat, so I could see it needing a few drops of thinner next time around.
 I absolutely love this.  It's just so pretty.  It has blue, red, shimmer, and deep purple components - some of my very favorites.
I hope to wear it again soon and take some worthy pictures for you all (including bottle shots, no less!).

 Ah, Peridot.  I love, love, love this polish.  It's stunning, flashy, and wears so well on me.
 This is three coats.  It lasted a little over three days for me, which is quite good.
I color corrected this last photo just a bit, and my fingers still look super pinky!  Oh well.  Do you have Peridot or a Peridot dupe?  This and Graphite are the first Chanel polishes I've owned that actually wear good on me, thus making me feel much better about having spent so very much on them.

 Okay!  Here is my quick and dirty comparison of Laura Mercier Twilight.  I used two coats of each polish shown (although, admittedly, Neeka very well could have been a one coater).  They are all quite similar in color and tone - with just color they looked really similar in my bathroom lighting.
 Paradoxal is maybe a hair more brown than the others and Neeka is definitely just a little more blue-toned than the others.
I've included this awful, blurry flash picture because it reveals the differences a little better than just the fluoro shots alone.  I hope this helps someone!  Here is a link back to my original Twilight post.

My lovely followers, I wanted to give you a sign that I am still alive! Speaking of alive...this mani I put on a full week ago is more than alive and well. I took photos to prove it.

Yeah, ignore the gnarly gap. Can you believe it still looks like this?! I cannot. I feel like it's practically a part of me now...I'll be sad to see it go!

I did put on a fresh coat of Poshe Thursday night because it was looking a bit dull and also like the edges might want to lift a teeny bit in a few places. After that, it was back to perfect. Also, about 90% of the places where the tips are wrapped under are still perfectly intact.

Obviously it's not *perfect* as it's grown out and all that, but I am more than impressed with the wear time here! I've never in my life had a polish last this long. I'm shocked and SUPER pleased. For once I can say that the hefty Chanel price tag is worth it!

For anyone wondering, I had used my usual Palladio Fuse as a base coat, two coats of Chanel Graphite, a coat of Poshe, stamping with Special Black Konad polish, another coat of Poshe, and then yet another coat of Poshe five days into it.

I'm still wearing this and it's been two full days! That is great for me, for Chanel, I must say.

Thanks to audraelena from MUA for the stamping idea here! This is two coats of Graphite, stamped with Konad plate m63, using Konad Special Black polish. I used Poshe for my top coats.

Also, everything is holding up so well that I fully expect to get through another day as well. We'll see, though. Hopefully I don't jinx myself (not that I'm actually superstitious).

That's my right hand, above. I think I might like the stamping on it better than my left hand, which is in all of the other pictures. I definitely still feel rusty about stamping, but I'm glad to be getting back to it.

Don't mind the thumb above. I promise that it actually does not look crazy or mis-matched in person!

I love this last picture because it shows off the more golden side of Graphite. It is such a pretty and complex color! There is a hint of rainbowiness in the shimmer and also I swear I saw little twinkly blue bits that are the same as the ones in Illusion D'Or! Sadly, my pictures don't seem to show this at all.

Here I started with three coats of OPI Obscure. Obscure is a matte mini polish from Halloween 2010. This first picture is the only one shown without top coat, so you can see the matte effect.

I used Konad plate m73 and Chanel Peridot for stamping.

I really liked how it looked with the black matte, but was sure I would scratch the life out of it in no time at all, so I added top coat!

I've got to say, these dreary, drizzly day pictures aren't doing anything for Peridot!

I'm not sure what possessed me to pick up my stamping supplies and go at it, after such a long stamping hiatus. I'm super glad that I did, though! Probably the tape mani got me wanting more nail art! :)

Since I think it looks better in the indoor, fluorescent light, I'll leave you with one last picture from those.

The first mani you're seeing is four coats of NYX Paradise and one coat of Chanel Illusion D'Or.

I did this mani twice in a row because when I was nearly finished the first time, the NYX bottle knocked over and spilled all over the floor (and my p.j. pant leg)!

You ever try cleaning up a spill with freshly painted, still wet nails? Yeah, doesn't work.

Anyway, this was pretty and I enjoyed it.

Here I did Inglot 320, two coats, topped with a coat of Inglot 203.

The flakes on top of the frost gave it quite a bit of texture, but I still think it's kind of cool!

It reminds me of a crazy Christmas Tree ornament my mom has. It's a metallic, frosty pickle. Yeah, a pickle. Something to do with a German tradition or...something.

Then I threw on a coat of China Glaze Sour Apple and a coat of Matte Magic!

Still looking like crazy pickles, but fun no less.

What do you think? Totally bonkers?

This is my current mani, MAC Originality, two coats. It's a coppery frost with copper flakes.

It is a dead-one match for Urban Decay's Baked color! I have the eye shadow and the eyeliner. I think of them as my Baked nails.

I love this color, but am not in love with it on my skin tone. I think it's do-able, though.

Also reminds me of shiny pennies...with texture.


Okay, so this polish applied just gorgeously.  And my nails in fact did look perfect.  Perfect, I swear!  But by the time I took these pictures the next morning, they somehow looked slightly less than perfect.  I'm not sure why or how.  Please forgive me, Chanel.  Forgive me, peeps.

Two coats.  I think the sun was too harsh for this delicate Russian baby.  Evening sun would have been just divine.  




Here are some more gorgeous and perfect Russian babies.  Varekai and Georgia, my two Borzoi baby dogs!  They are among a very small group of persons and things that I love even more than nail polish.

Here they are fighting like crazy lions.  This picture is beyond hilarious since Varekai (on the right below) is the most docile, gentle, cream-puff sweet creature you could ever imagine.  I think Georgia just takes her to a dark, dangerous place.

This one is from almost a year ago, just after we got Georgia.  Look at their pretty little heads and Vare's adorable little rat feet!

My dogs are perfect.  I cannot lie.  *sigh*  That is all.

Hiya!  I hope you are having a fabulous Saturday.  For you I have Nubar Reclaim, a perfectly perfect green holographic polish.  The application was just swell.  This is two coats.  There is some controversy, if you will, about putting a top coat over holo polishes.  I've been told that it lessens the intensity of the holographic effect.  The pictures are with Nubar Diamont top coat.  I can't bear to not wear a top coat!




Last night I busted out my super holy Chanel Nuit de Russie.  I was encouraged by MissH on MUA nail board to not hoard my Chanels but use 'em and love it!  Thanks!  I do love it.  Here it is, in all its glory, two coats with Poshe.

Below is a picture from last night.  It shows the glowiness of the blue shimmer in a different way.



Indoors it looks nearly black.  The next picture is just kind of silly, but I wanted to include it because I think it's cool looking!  These are some lovelies that I bought at Sephora yesterday.  They are new metallic liquid eyeliners from Too Faced and also a "Tattoo" liner in blue from Kat Von D.  I'm a total makeup junkie.  I look at this picture and it just kills me how perfect they all look - like they are floating above my hand or something.  :D  Yeah, yeah, call me crazy.
