 I've been having weird luck with my manis lately - some lasting a good, long time and others chipping within a day.  Here are two of the unlucky ones!  This is Deborah Lippmann Let's Go Crazy.  I only needed two coats of polish, and it applied very nicely.  I did, however, use two coats of Gelous over top, plus top coat!
 It was super smooth and shiny.  I had a little bit of tip shrink (which annoys me to no end), but it was hardly noticeable in person.  I would definitely like to wear this again, and hopefully for more than a day.
 This is one coat of Rescue Beauty Lounge Dead Calm with one coat of  Rainbow Honey Mt. Moon over top.
 Dead Calm applied very nicely, but was a bugger to clean up since it stains and clings to the skin so much.
 Mt. Moon has a really lovely duochrome shift from blue to purple.  I don't think my pictures here captured it all that well.
 With the random flakey white bits, it was almost a galaxy nail type of look!
I was also sad that this one didn't last well on me.  Beautiful, but short-lived.

 I'm tired of being back-logged on pictures and posts, so voila, here is a catch up post!  This first one is a dark grayish green StrangeBeautiful topped with OPI Simmer and Shimmer.  One coat of each.
 Below is Butter London Jack the Lad.  I believe it was just two coats, but don't quote me on that.
 Much prettier in the bottle, under the beaming lights at Nordstorm, but still lovely on the nail.
 Next up is Illamasqua Creator at two coats.  I freaking love this one, no surprise there.
 I'm not sure why I decided to include the above blurry picture, but we'll just move right along and get to some that are in focus.
 Creator has tiny silver particles that resemble flakes.  They are irregular in shape.  Also, there are very occasional holo glitters (see that one blue twinkle in the bottle above?) and medium sized silver hexes (I think).
 You can see a silver hex on the very edge of my middle finger below.  Great formula, as always.
 And now for the voting day nails!  I used a coat of RBL Teal and then topped it with a coat of Shimmer Polish Nicole.
 I really loved wearing this because it was so festive and pretty.  It wore well for a good three days, too.  Yeah, that's "good" for me.  Anything past two days is good in my book.
 I love the glitters in Nicole - the shapes, the colors, the ratios, the dispersion.  Love, love, love it!  I used a combination of dabbing and painting motions to apply it.  Shimmer polishes can be found here, although it appears the shop is closed until Nov. 26.
 I may have saved the best for last, which is Pahlish Toxic and Timeless!
 I used two coats and this mani also wore for a respectable three days.  I finished the mani with Gelous, Instant Artificials, and then Butter London's quick dry top coat.  It was perfectly smooth and glassy.
 I had more big yellow hexes on my right hand, probably because I didn't take the time to shake my bottle super thoroughly and it had settled some when I grabbed it to do my mani.  Nonetheless, I absolutely adore the result, the polish, and it lived up to my every grand expectation!
If you don't have Toxic and Timeless, I'm going to say that you need to get it!  It's amazing.  Check out all of Pahlish's wonderful creations here.  I'm really excited about her upcoming holiday collection.  Cannot wait!

 This is three coats of Rescue Beauty Lounge Scrangie.
 The blue duochrome sparkles in the sun are just unbelievable stunning!  So much prettier than my pictures.
 Application was easy enough but dry time was rather bothersome.  Also, I only made it one day before I got a large chip.
 I have it on my toes, too, though, and it's wearing well there!
 I have worn this twice as a mani very recently and found that while both top coats took an eternity to fully dry, Poshe did a little better than Seche Vite at finally hardening.
It's such a pretty polish.  I dare say it's worth all the difficulty.

 Today I started my mani with two coats of Rescue Beauty Lounge Fortissimo.
 It's a really lovely dark brown with a hint of gray coolness to it.
 Fortissimo reminds me of delicious, creamy CHOCOLATE!
 I don't use my RBLs too often, but whenever I do I am reminded of how terrific the formula and application is.  I like the smaller brush, too.
 Here I've added a coat of Sephora by OPI Don't be Eggnog-ious.
 I was playing with the light in these pictures.
 Don't be Eggnog-ious is a monotone orange/copper glitter with large hexograms and smallish - well, I don't what they are.  I think they are squares, but I can't tell for sure!
 The glitter spread itself pretty well, I have to say.
 I did a little smooshing things around to try and get the glitters to look as even as possible, but not too much.
 And I see that there is a rather giant clump of hexograms on my ring finger...ha!  Oh well.
 It looks fine, of course, in person.  :)
 What do you think of this glitter and the other ones from Sephora by OPI for the holidays?
I really love them.  The red and purple are so stunning, as well.  I confess that this feels a little "simple" after so many wonderful Lynnderella glitter polishes.  But simple can be good, too!

 Here is three coats of Rescue Beauty Lounge Pizzicato.
 It looks like a pale, pink, glass-flecked shimmer in the sun.
 I found that in most types of lighting it looked much more lilac or lavender on me.
 It's a very pretty, delicate sort of look.  Oh!  And I cut my nails shorter just because!  I'm happy to say that it wasn't because of a break or tear or anything bad.  I just wanted them shorter.  :)  It's a nice change for me.
 I found the formula ever so slightly difficult to work with.  It got kind of thick on me, and I felt that it looked a tad streaky in places (see picture below).
I tried this mani using Butter London's base and top coats.  Big mistake!  I smudged the bejeebus out of my pinky nail, somehow, five freaking hours after I had applied everything!  I was oh so sad.  I will probably give them a try again, later, using Butter London polishes, but I have to tell you I'm slightly terrified at this point.

This is the second "conservative" color I chose to wear for a challenge on MUA. It's not super duper conservative, but it does lack any glitter or shimmer, and I imagine it would be office appropriate. I suppose that all depends on your job, though, huh?

Four coats of Rescue Beauty Lounge Starfish Patrick. For the record, I am a big SpongeBob SquarePants fan. You must also know that my dear uncle is an even bigger fan! I think he is SpongeBob's #1 fan, in fact. Shout out to Steve! :) He has a really great site here.

I think it would be really cool to wear this more sheer, but alas, I cannot because my nails are stained.

I do really like how it turned out! It's very pretty, very smooth, and super shiny.

This last picture is taken in the warm, setting sun. That's why it looks crazy orange! It doesn't look like this in real life at all. I just included it to be random.

This was my first time using RBL Teal, a polish loved by many. It applied flawlessly, and if my memory serves me, I think I did just one coat of it!

I put a coat of $OPI Club Scene Queen over top.

Club Scene Queen is a really shimmery, pretty polish that is rather sheer and methinks, just perfect for putting on top of lots of different colors!

My guess is that you could get a decent opacity with Club Scene Queen by doing three to four coats of it by itself. I have a feeling that the over all color would probably look a little smokier and less intensely blue/teal on its own.

I love color, beauty, creativity, animals, and being care-free. I'm not care-free, in reality, but would like to think it's an attainable state of being! I do like to bend the rules when it serves a greater purpose and I'm all about being authentic. Here I am, take me or leave me! I suppose I'd call myself a sensitive soul. I think I feel things more deeply and ponder things more thoroughly than your average bear.
