 First off, I'd like to apologize for slacking!  I've been cheating on nail polish lately with my makeup.
 Also, I've had to paint my nails pretty much every single night this past week - not by choice, but because of egregious chipping.  I have to say I'm getting tired of this trend!  :(  I'd like to go for two days, please and thank you!
 Okay.  So the nails here.  I started with two coats of Illamasqua Smash.
 I found it to be the perfect underwear for my beloved Hare Asteroid Turf!  I used one coat of Asteroid Turf over and then followed with two coats of top coat.
 I was going for The Hulk-ish nails since I had planned to do Hulk inspired makeup last Sunday (yeah, that's how old these pictures are).

 I was mad about some tiny bubbles in the top coat, though (I had used NYC Grand Central Station on a whim - I don't normally use it because it doesn't dry fast enough for me), so I ultimately decided to take it right off.
 My next Hulk mani was two coats of Smash with one to two coats of Lynnderella All Hallow's Eve over.
 This would be round one of that particular mani (yeah, I was just having all kinds of trouble with my manis last Saturday).  You'll see round two very soon.
 Looks good, though, right?!  Especially since I took these right after painting them, so they are all glossy and shiny and awesome.
 Here is the second version of the Smash and All Hallow's Eve mani.  I'm not even going to bore you with why I took off the first one.
 These last pictures here I took the day after having painted my nails, so that's why they look a little dull  and not so glossy - it was eating top coat like cray-zay!  I used one coat of Gelous and two coats of Seche Vite over top of everything and clearly that was not quite enough to get a final glassy smoothness.  *sigh*
 Still, I do like this one even better than the previous one because I ended up with more black and other various glitters showing on my nails here.  :)

 This is a very special Hare polish that was recently sent to me as a surprise!
 It's called Afterglow and I used two coats here.
 It applied super well and and really smooth.
 I'm nearly certain that I only used one coat of top coat, too!  That's always a bonus when using glitter polishes.
 I love the orange and purple (are they purple or fuchsia?  Either way, I love them!) glitters.
 I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for everyone that this one will be available for sale soon!

 This is one of Nikole's latest creations via Hare Polish.  Cosmo Blossoms!
 I used two coats here and it applied really well.
 The base is a milky, ambiguous sort of gray that at times looks a bit lavender and/or even pink-ish.
 It's got loads of lovely green glitter!
 I really, really head-over-heels adore this polish!
 Not long after I took these pictures, I experienced slight tip shrink that left me reeling.
I don't think I'd necessarily want to use underwear in the future (although the right soft gray or possibly even nude polish would likely do the trick), but if I didn't do that, then I would need to be sure not to use a quick-dry top coat to avoid the dreaded shrink.

 This is the mani that never was.
 I started with two coats of Illamasqua Elope, which is a dreamy Crayola green jelly.
 You can see in these pictures how it dries shiny yet almost a little bit matte?  It's kind of strange.
 I love it.  It's just perfect.
 Elope was meant to be a base for the new Hare polish called Asteroid Turf, which you see below.
 You also see Pretty & Polished Old Skool, which comes into play in just a moment.
 I carefully layered a coat of Asteroid Turf over Elope, but was not satisfied with the results.  It was a little too streaky somehow, so I quickly slapped on Old Skool to try and lessen the yeeuugh.
 These pictures don't look too shabby, really, but in real life I just couldn't swing it.
 It freaked me out, plain and simple.
No top coat in any of these pictures.


 Here's another Hare Polish.  It's called Archipelago.
 This is four coats.  I topped it off with two coats of Gelous and then a coat of Seche Vite.
 It's a dreamy deep, dusky blue jelly filled with various sizes of copper hexes.

 I think it's really cool how some of the coppers get lost in the deep.
 I think this would be nice layered over something, but I wanted to wear it alone for the full on jelly effect.

 This is two coats of Hare Heffalumps.
 Heffalumps are from Winnie the Pooh, of course (kind of like elephants), and I adore the Pooh reference here.  I love Winnie the Pooh and everything about it!
 The base is a beautiful fuchsia sort of jelly color and swimming inside are large hexes of blue, silver, and pink (I think).
 I'm not going to sugar coat this, Nation.  Application was a total bear.  The glitters kept bunching up and it was hard to control the spread of the jelly, if you get what I mean.  I needed three thick coats of top coat, as well, and even still, it wasn't totally smooth after it dried completely (it looks perfectly smooth in these pictures because they were taken right after I painted my nails).
It's so stinking gorgeous, though!  I love it!  Well worth the pain.  If you want to learn more about Hare polish, go to Nikole's tumblr here.

 Here's my second time using Hare polish.  I'm wearing three coats of Pegasus.
 It's a really lovely, milky, perfectly smooth pastel lilac with whitish-pinkish looking hexes in different sizes.
 I really love how the hexes get sort of submerged in the milky polish and are seen at different depths.
 It's so whimsical and just really, really dreamy!
Very sadly, as seems to be the case lately, this did not last long enough on me.  I had major chipping and peeling in less than a day.  I'm still enchanted by this polish, though, and would certainly try it again with perhaps a different combination of base and top coats.  For more info on Hare polish, click here.
