DizzyNails

 These are only bad news nails because I quite literally received some very bad news while I had them painted this way!

 Bad news aside, because we like to keep ze blog fluffy and pretty and full of glitter, sunshine, shimmer, and win.  :)  This is three coats of Nicole by OPI Yellow, It's Me topped with Candeo Sprouse.

 I used mainly painting motions with Sprouse, but did dab a little, as needed.

 A coat of Gelous under my top coat smoothed things nicely.

 I love this combo.  It's fun and a little funky.  I wish more blue bits had come out to play, and I almost don't like the silver glitters, but all in all I love the look.

 This is three coats of Nicole by OPI Just Busta Mauve.

 It's one of the new, Target exclusive colors this Fall.

 It's a really interesting and complex color that is super shimmery and gorgeous.  What on earth, I ask, would you call this color?!  It's not really mauve.

 I love the blue shimmer in it!  It also has a multichrome aspect to it that I find really wonderful.

 This is three coats of Nicole by OPI Nothing Kim-Pares to Blue.  Application was easy and I like the new brush shape (new to me, at least).  It's kind of like the OPI ProWide...er, maybe it's exactly the same.  Anyway, I much prefer it to the big and bushy curved shapes.

For this mani I started with two coats of Nicole by OPI Nicole's Nickel, one of the new Spring Target exclusives. Nicole's Nickel is a black and silver glitter extravaganza! It has at least two sizes of silver glitter, which I love.

Next I added China Glaze Crackle Broken Hearted.

I REALLY like how this turned out! I would have been happy to wear it all week.

Alas, I made a tragic error in top coats and it only lasted just under a day. The polish nearly popped off my nails in whole or mostly whole pieces!

I should have known better, but I guess I don't use Seche Vite enough to really get all its ins and outs. I'm guessing my problem was in putting SV over Nicole's Nickel, then putting CND Air Dry over Broken Hearted. Live and learn!

This is my wacky accidental Mardi Gras crack manicure. I say accidental because I did not set out for this to look like a crazy Mardi Gras party, but after I sat with the final result for a while, I realized that that is what it reminds me of.

Really I just wanted to pair China Glaze Fault Line with a color that contrasted nicely. Also, I do like purple and green together (those used to be my favorite colors together some years ago when I was a kid). I started with one coat of Nicole by OPI One Time Lime, from the Justin Bieber collection. It looked great in just one coat, Nation!

Then I added two coats of Ulta Pinata-Yada-Yada. I really wanted to have glitter under my crack. In the future I think I'll stick to smaller glitter because I'm not sure I like how the bigger glitter looks under the Crackle.

Next I waited for everything to dry. Then I added a coat of China Glaze Crackle Fault Line. It applied pretty well but I do think I'll thin it some next time around (I read on MUA that this helps it behave and crack better). I suppose I need some more practice in applying Crackles because I'm so mad at myself for not getting the purple all the way over the green near my cuticle, most especially on the index finger. :P

I was not sure that I was feeling the over all look, so I added a coat of Zoya Sparkle Gloss to try and make things better.

I have to say that it did grow on me through the day. :) Not a total disaster, but definitely not what I had hoped for when I first dreamed it up.

This is Nicole by OPI Sea How Far You Go. It's one of the new Target exclusive colors.

It's a pretty unique duochrome shimmer.

When I first picked up the bottle, I didn't really know what to think of the actual color. I just knew I wanted it!

The predominant color is light gold. I'm not sure I want to say it's a cool toned gold, but it's definitely not very warm.

There's a weird and slight undercurrent of blue.

The blue combined with the gold makes for a somewhat green effect at times, almost khaki or olive.

Isn't it just crazy?!

It reminds me a bit of Sally Hansen HD Opluent Cloud, but there really isn't the purple/gray thing going on here.

Do you think this is pretty or fugly?

Here is another Bieber polish for you. Two coats of My Lifesaver.

I didn't do as great of a job on my application with the mega brush, this time around.

I like this color. I know it's been done a lot lately, but it's the first time I've worn one just like this.

It just feels fresh, cool, and calm to me.

I'm thinking I might layer something over top of it tomorrow. So many ideas of what that might be!!

I broke down. I swallowed my pride and bought some freaking Justin Bieber nail polishes. Good grief!

I used two coats of Nicole by OPI OMB!, a delightful candy-apple red almost metallic shimmer.

The red leans a little pink. It's quite stunning really. My camera kind of freaked out and these pictures don't represent the shimmer accurately.

The accent finger is an added coat of Hot Topic glitter (no name on the bottle). I also did an accent on my right index nail.

Let me say that I was highly wary of the new Nicole by OPI brush. I don't tend to enjoy wide or ginormous brushes.

I gotta say, it applied marvelously!! Cheers for the big brush! I am shocked.

The Palladio base coat, which I still completely adore, does allow staining, though. I have confirmed this as I just took this mani off tonight and my nails are looking more stained than normal. I don't actually care since I keep my nails painted all the time.

My dog Georgia just watched a commercial for the Bambi DVD. She was enraptured by it, I tell you! So cute. Anyone's dog(s) like to watch cartoons/animations featuring animals? Georgie watched Bolt from start to finish.

I'm all over the place tonight! Oh, and back to my red mani - I practically never wear red. It was a very strange thing for me to want to wear it. :)

This was a super simple yet mega fab mani. I used one coat of Illamasqua Boosh, my favorite, most perfect black ever, and then one coat of Nicole by OPI Spark My Mistletoe.

I saw a post on MUA where someone had used Spark My Mistletoe over black and it was so stunning I knew I had to recreate it for myself!

Isn't it just groovy!?

This mani turned out pretty strange, texturally! I still like it.

I started with two coats of OPI DS Radiance, a flawless silver foil.

Next, I added a coat of Nicole by OPI Such a Go-Glitter.

I got that one at Target and even though it's not opaque on its own (at least, it wouldn't be very easily), I still love it! It has blue, black, and holographic glitter bits.

It was hard to tell from the bottle exactly what to expect.
