 This is two easy coats of Illamasqua Stance.

 Stance is a super gorgeous bright purply pink color.

 I want to say that these photos are not color accurate - it's a hair more purple in real life.

 Application was awesome, as always.

 Stance is attention grabbing, yet not at all obnoxious, if that makes sense.  And I suppose it's a matter of opinion, at any rate!

 The second day I wore it, I decided to Shatter it with OPI Turquoise.

 I wish that my cracks had been bigger (*giggle*), but I still love how it turned out!

 Now that you are seeing Stance next to so much blue, it's looking more purply.

This mani features Sephora by OPI Frankly, I Don't Give A-dam and OPI Silver Shatter.

Frankly, I Don't Give A-dam is shown at two coats. It's a really pretty (and seems to be unique in my collection) medium gray with a pinch of lavender.

The application was great, too!

I like how the Shatter turned out. This was the first time I let the base polish dry on its own without any kind of top coat before Shattering it. Dry time on FIDGAd was really quick!

While I always enjoy Shatter/Crackle manis with tons of contrast, I am really loving this tone on tone, too!!

Mad props to my boy Jaysen for incessantly nagging me to wear this mani. Your persistence and genius idea has paid off!

This is three coats of $OPI Full Moon, a glow in the dark white from Halloween last year, with a coat of OPI Black Shatter.

Can I just say that this mani was a major pain in my patuckass? Yet now it is for sure one of my all time favorites.

When I first began to put all this together it was very late at night, in fact, early into the wee hours of Thursday morning. I decided to try my China Glaze Black Mesh Crackle as I have not worn it for a mani yet and wanted to enjoy the difference of how it cracks (as compared to Shatter). The $OPI Full Moon was thick and goopy, a bit of a trick to work with. I thinned it once or twice in the process of applying the three coats. Then, I used SV, waited about 5 or 10 minutes, and began to apply the Crackle.

ZOMG it was a disaster! I watched in horror as the ungodly event unfolded before my eyes. Two, yes TWO of my ten nails cracked and the other EIGHT did not (or did so just very minimally, not enough to even count really). And the darnedest thing is that one of those two nails that did crack, cracked so freaking perfectly I could have cried. I honestly have no idea what went wrong. Maybe I thinned things too much or didn't wait long enough for the SV to dry. Who the heck knows? (If you know, please share in the comments.)

It's day six of my wear of the Sally Hansen appliques in the Cut It Out design. They looked a little shabby this morning, starting to crack just a little in some areas, so I decided to spruce them up with some bloody jelly-licious OPI Red Shatter.

I wasn't sure if the Shatter would crack well if I put it straight on the appliques, so I painted on a coat of CND effects in Silver Sparkling first. It's very subtle. Then, a coat of Red Shatter. Then, a coat of Gelous, followed by Seche Vite.

I really like how it turned out! I unintentionally did thinner coats of Shatter on my right hand, and it shattered more, but with slightly smaller spaces in between. Since I did thicker coats on the left hand (as seen in the first two pictures above), the cracks are bigger, but the red doesn't look quite as piece-y.

On an only slightly related note, I just ordered Tarte True Blood makeup from sephora.com. I'm so excited!!!! I am getting the palette and the lip tint. I may or may not get the cheek tint, since I tend to prefer powder blushes. But YAY Tarte and YAY True Blood!!!

Yesterday I decided to use some new OPI Shatter polishes for both my pedi and mani. Yes! I'm Shattered from tip to toe! I started with three coats of Orly Here Comes Trouble.

Here Comes Trouble is this grass green, vibrant glitter polish with teeny tiny glitters and then medium sized glitters. It reminds me of Crayola green, if you get my drift. Very bright, very pretty.

It was actually still a bit sheer at three coats, so had I been wearing it all by itself, I think I would have opted for a fourth coat. But, knowing I was going to Shatter it, I didn't worry about it at all.

I added OPI Navy Shatter.

I love the fact that Navy Shatter is a jelly finish!! It lets some of the glitter shine through from below, just barely, which is really cool. I also am fairly pleased with the shatter pattern that I got using a medium-ish coat.

The sad part is that the Navy looks pretty well black indoors. But at least I know it's Navy!

I wore this a few days ago. I wanted to try out some of the OPI Pirates of the Caribbean polishes that I got last weekend. I started with two somewhat thick coats of Mermaid's Tears.

I only have indoor pictures of this because I did it at night...but you get the idea.

I added a coat of Dior Rock Coat for fun. This was my first time trying it, too.

Sadly, the brush on my Rock Coat is quite wonky and ridiculous, so I had a hell of a time with my application.

It ended up looking a little streaky, but overall I can see this having potential. Also, I didn't care much since I knew I would be putting Silver Shatter on top!

Now, for the finished mani. I added Silver Shatter.

Please pardon the sore spot on my pinky. My cuticles are looking sad, too, because I couldn't use cuticle remover due to sore spots! Vicious cycle. Note to self: stop nibbling on your cuticles!
