DizzyNails

 I am currently sporting China Glaze Liquid Crystal as my mani.  I used three coats of the polish, one coat of Gelous, and a coat of Starlight and Sparkles Crystal top coat.  Application was super easy.

 I've been on a creme binge for a while now, so I wanted to break with a really, really good glitter.  Success!

 I tried to capture the really cool duochrome shift to purple and pink, but it's so tough and I was working with late day lighting in most of these.  I'm sure you can see it well enough in the bottle, though.

 I'm in love with this!

 Here is Pahlish Your Lover is an Actress over black.

 I used one coat of Cult Nails Nevermore (dare I say, my new favorite black), one coat of YLiaA, a coat of Gelous, and then Sephora X top coat.

 I started with base coat, too, of course.  I always use base coat, even when I don't mention it.  The base coat of choice these days has been Sephora X.

 Okay, so this stunning polish has a deep purple jelly base which gets lost over the black.  That's okay, though.  I needed a quick and easy way to wear it and this did the trick just fine for me.

 Application was easy and the glitters were well behaved.  I love how it looks so jeweled!

 This was a blue on blue glitter-groovy mani!  I used a dusty blue StrangeBeautiful for my base color (two coats).  It seems to me to look close to Illamasqua Force.  I don't think I've worn Force yet...but then again, my bottle has drastically changed colors since I bought it.  Weird.

 I used a coat of Shimmer Polish in Jenny over top, then followed with Gelous and Sephora X top coat.

 I loved this mani.  It was one of those where the more you look at it, up close, the better it gets!

 Shimmer Polish makes some super beautiful blends, I must say.  Love!

 I'm tired of being back-logged on pictures and posts, so voila, here is a catch up post!  This first one is a dark grayish green StrangeBeautiful topped with OPI Simmer and Shimmer.  One coat of each.

 Below is Butter London Jack the Lad.  I believe it was just two coats, but don't quote me on that.

 Much prettier in the bottle, under the beaming lights at Nordstorm, but still lovely on the nail.

 Next up is Illamasqua Creator at two coats.  I freaking love this one, no surprise there.

 I'm not sure why I decided to include the above blurry picture, but we'll just move right along and get to some that are in focus.

 Creator has tiny silver particles that resemble flakes.  They are irregular in shape.  Also, there are very occasional holo glitters (see that one blue twinkle in the bottle above?) and medium sized silver hexes (I think).

 You can see a silver hex on the very edge of my middle finger below.  Great formula, as always.

 And now for the voting day nails!  I used a coat of RBL Teal and then topped it with a coat of Shimmer Polish Nicole.

 I really loved wearing this because it was so festive and pretty.  It wore well for a good three days, too.  Yeah, that's "good" for me.  Anything past two days is good in my book.

 I love the glitters in Nicole - the shapes, the colors, the ratios, the dispersion.  Love, love, love it!  I used a combination of dabbing and painting motions to apply it.  Shimmer polishes can be found here, although it appears the shop is closed until Nov. 26.

 I may have saved the best for last, which is Pahlish Toxic and Timeless!

 I used two coats and this mani also wore for a respectable three days.  I finished the mani with Gelous, Instant Artificials, and then Butter London's quick dry top coat.  It was perfectly smooth and glassy.

 I had more big yellow hexes on my right hand, probably because I didn't take the time to shake my bottle super thoroughly and it had settled some when I grabbed it to do my mani.  Nonetheless, I absolutely adore the result, the polish, and it lived up to my every grand expectation!

 Hello, friends!  I'm sorry for the delay in posting.  I'll partly blame my new favorite top coat, Butter London Hardware P.D. Quick Topcoat, as it's actually prolonging the wear of my manicures!  I'll tell you more about why I love it in just a minute.

 First, let's take a long look at Dior Poison (two coats), my chosen underwear for this mani.  Poison is a luxurious, velvety deep purple with a very subtle, near-hidden micro shimmer.  It's almost black, which of course means I love it right away.  Application was fine despite the huge brush which I am not keen on.

 What did I put on top?  A polish that I was starting to think would never be in my possession:  Lynnderella Kabbalah Bracelet from the Sweet Somethings for a Summer Solstice collection.

 I used a combination of dabbing and sweeping motions to get a coat of it on top and actually had no trouble with the application, much to my surprise!

 To get it all nice and smooth, I used two coats of Instant Artificials and then two coats of Butter London's top coat.  That's a lot of top coat, but it dried relatively quick, I am happy to say.  And the best part, or should I say parts?!  It was shiny, smooth, had no bubbles, no shrink, and lasted a whopping three days for me!!  This is absolutely fantastic for me, especially with a Lynnderella mani!

 Holy wow, Kabbalah Bracelet!  I am madly in love with this polish.

 So, why did it take me so long to get on board the Butter London top coat train, you might be wondering?  I've actually owned it for quite a long time.  I bought it from Ulta a while back with the base coat, as a promotional deal.  I excitedly did my next mani (which happened to be RBL Pizzicato) using both the BL base and top, and had awful, terrible results!  I immediately wrote off both the base and top.  I threw the baby out with the bathwater!!

 A couple of weeks ago, my friend at work was telling me how she had just bought the Butter London top coat (and base, I think) and really loved it.  That made me wonder enough to try mine again.  I'm so very glad I did!  I've been using it since, with nothing but great results.  I wish it dried a tiny bit faster, but honestly, I can put up with it since everything else is so perfect, so far!  Thank you, Stephanie!!  The base and I don't seem to get along, so I've saved that for swatching only.

 I'm not talking much about Lynnderella and the surrounding controversy here in this post because, well, I just don't feel the need to say a whole lot about it.  I want to say that I was beginning to feel certain that I would never get the summer collection.  I was, however, lucky enough to stumble upon it on Ebay a few weeks ago.  I bought the collection and then had a full-on freak out because I was so excited and in disbelief!

 I've seen it more and more on Ebay since then, so I'm glad that it's hopefully more available to those that do want it.  I know international folks are still pretty well left out, though, which is not fun at all.

 The cost for me ended up being a little over $20 a bottle, which, while it's not a bargain, I do feel is worth it.  I love these much more than Chanel, which cost even more.

 Anyway, I hope those that like glitter can appreciate this mani.  If you don't like glitter, or bars, or Lynnderellas, then I hope you can wait for my next post, which is of something different.  And I do hope you don't mind that I will keep posting Lynnderella manis as I wear them.

 That reminds me!  I finally just got my polish stash properly re-sorted!  I had some help from my mom and dear best friend.  Thanks so much for that!  My polishes are now all organized by brand again, and it's going to be much easier for me to find things and keep my collection organized.  Hooray!

 I just need to get the drawers of my Helmers labeled so I actually know what is where!

 This is two coats of Sephora Burst of Mango Cream topped with a coat of Sephora by OPI Spark-tacular! Top Coat.

 Burst of Mango Cream has a touch of pink to it, which I fear is not showing rightly in these pictures.  I'd call it a cross between tangerine and coral.

 I adore my Spark-tacular! top coat, but I'm not going to lie, this isn't my favorite pairing for it!

 It reminds me a little bit of my famous "clown barf" mani from a long time ago where I used Lippmann Happy Birthday over Illamasqua Ruthless.  I'm reluctantly posting a link here.  This could be orange clown barf...or caliente clown barf...but really, it's not as bad as the original clown barf.  Nothing is!
