Are you dizzy with excitement about nail polish?

Can I just say that this is my fifth - FIFTH - day wearing this mani?!  Woah.  A moment of silence for such unheard of awesomeness.  I'm hoping it's the Sephora by OPI quick dry top coat that I'm using for the first time.
Two nights ago I added $OPI It's Real 18K Gold top coat to my Guerlain Riviera mani.  I used two coats of the 18K Gold and followed with another of $OPI quick dry top coat.
If you are wondering how similar it is to the Rococo Gold Leaf lacquer - Rococo's has much larger pieces of the leaf.  Based on what I've seen so far, I'd recommend using  $OPI's over dark colors, and you'll probably want two coats as well, followed with clear top coat.  It's a little bumpy on it's own.
At $30 a bottle, it had better be real gold!!  Will you be splurging for this nail jewelry?

P.S.  I think everyone here knows, but when I write "$OPI," it's just a shorthand for "Sephora by OPI," that I learned on MUA.  :)

Recognize this beauty?  It's Guerlain's Terracotta 02 Riviera, again.
I wanted to actually wear it, so I gave it another go.  This is two coats followed by a coat of Sephora by OPI's new quick dry top coat.
It's much more blurple in real life, and the duochrome between blue and purple is very apparent in real life, as well.  It's quite stunning, I have to say!  There's even a hint of pink as it flashes between blue and purple.
I love the bottle with the wooden cap.  The formula was a little tricky and I had to apply it very conscientiously to avoid brush strokes and bubbles.
I'm really enjoying wearing it, though, and am well into my third day now!  The $OPI top coat may be partly to thank for that.  It did not dry as quick as I would have preferred it to, but was dry to the touch in maybe 3-5 minutes.  I suppose I could learn to tolerate slower dry times if it means longer wear time. :)

I had very different ideas for how this post was supposed to turn out.
You were supposed to see gorgeous pictures of Guerlain Terracotta Riviera 02 polish all by itself, in different types of lighting (so as to show off the slight duochrome blurpleness).
Due to unforseen failures on multiple levels, you are seeing the quicky pictures I took just before taking this combination off.
And the sun was just about to set, which is why these pictures look so warm.
I used two coats of Riviera, a blue leaning purple nearly frosty duochrome.  It's my first Guerlain polish ever!  It has a cute wooden cap.  I love Guerlain makeup and fragrances.
And because of little bubbles all over the place and a smudge on my ring finger, I topped it off with a coat of Hits Hefesto, to try and salvage the mani.  No save.  No go.  But fun pictures!

This Is Me!

My photo
I love color, beauty, creativity, animals, and being care-free. I'm not care-free, in reality, but would like to think it's an attainable state of being! I do like to bend the rules when it serves a greater purpose and I'm all about being authentic. Here I am, take me or leave me! I suppose I'd call myself a sensitive soul. I think I feel things more deeply and ponder things more thoroughly than your average bear.
