 Here is Pahlish Your Lover is an Actress over black.
 I used one coat of Cult Nails Nevermore (dare I say, my new favorite black), one coat of YLiaA, a coat of Gelous, and then Sephora X top coat.
 I started with base coat, too, of course.  I always use base coat, even when I don't mention it.  The base coat of choice these days has been Sephora X.
 Okay, so this stunning polish has a deep purple jelly base which gets lost over the black.  That's okay, though.  I needed a quick and easy way to wear it and this did the trick just fine for me.
 Application was easy and the glitters were well behaved.  I love how it looks so jeweled!
What would you wear it over?  Or would you be a purist and just wear it by itself?  :)

 I'm tired of being back-logged on pictures and posts, so voila, here is a catch up post!  This first one is a dark grayish green StrangeBeautiful topped with OPI Simmer and Shimmer.  One coat of each.
 Below is Butter London Jack the Lad.  I believe it was just two coats, but don't quote me on that.
 Much prettier in the bottle, under the beaming lights at Nordstorm, but still lovely on the nail.
 Next up is Illamasqua Creator at two coats.  I freaking love this one, no surprise there.
 I'm not sure why I decided to include the above blurry picture, but we'll just move right along and get to some that are in focus.
 Creator has tiny silver particles that resemble flakes.  They are irregular in shape.  Also, there are very occasional holo glitters (see that one blue twinkle in the bottle above?) and medium sized silver hexes (I think).
 You can see a silver hex on the very edge of my middle finger below.  Great formula, as always.
 And now for the voting day nails!  I used a coat of RBL Teal and then topped it with a coat of Shimmer Polish Nicole.
 I really loved wearing this because it was so festive and pretty.  It wore well for a good three days, too.  Yeah, that's "good" for me.  Anything past two days is good in my book.
 I love the glitters in Nicole - the shapes, the colors, the ratios, the dispersion.  Love, love, love it!  I used a combination of dabbing and painting motions to apply it.  Shimmer polishes can be found here, although it appears the shop is closed until Nov. 26.
 I may have saved the best for last, which is Pahlish Toxic and Timeless!
 I used two coats and this mani also wore for a respectable three days.  I finished the mani with Gelous, Instant Artificials, and then Butter London's quick dry top coat.  It was perfectly smooth and glassy.
 I had more big yellow hexes on my right hand, probably because I didn't take the time to shake my bottle super thoroughly and it had settled some when I grabbed it to do my mani.  Nonetheless, I absolutely adore the result, the polish, and it lived up to my every grand expectation!
If you don't have Toxic and Timeless, I'm going to say that you need to get it!  It's amazing.  Check out all of Pahlish's wonderful creations here.  I'm really excited about her upcoming holiday collection.  Cannot wait!

 I've had Pahlish Typewriter Keys for a while now, but am only now getting around to wearing it.
 This is two coats of Illamasqua Nomad followed with one coat of Typewriter Keys.
 Nomad is an ...aqua...green?!  I'm not sure how I want to describe it.  It's definitely green.  A bit minty.  A bit seafoam-y.  But neither of those words really describe it aptly, in my opinion.
 I think these sunny pictures make it look like candy shell somehow!
 Application on both polishes was fine - Nomad being effortless and Typewriter Keys being surprisingly easy for a polish with irregular flakie-like shards of black and silver.  A shard or two tried to stick off the edges of my nails but I just gently pushed them back on with the end of the brush.
 I like how the pieces look relatively evenly disbursed across the nail surface!
 Typewriter Keys also has small holographic and iridescent shimmer bits as well.

I used a coat of Gelous and a coat of Butter London's top coat over everything and it's nicely smooth except for just a spot or two.

 This is Pahlish Bixby Canyon Bridge.
 I used just two coats here (followed by Gelous and two top coats).
 Oh!  And I didn't do any actual clean up.  I didn't feel the need to.  Hooray for that!
 I knew I would love this polish, but not as much as I actually do now that I've worn it!  <3  The public seems to approve, as well, as I received tons of compliments.
I don't even mind that I didn't get big pieces onto my nails, despite having stored the bottle upside down.  It's so pretty I couldn't care!  Well done, Shannon!  Pahlish can be found here.

 This is just two coats of NerdLacquer Don't Blink.
 I had some tiny bubbles with this one, much to my dismay, so I didn't leave it alone.  I redid it, then added a coat of Pahlish Your Silver Lining.
 Now you're seeing two coats of Don't Blink, one coat of Your Silver Lining, two coats of Gelous, and a coat of Seche Vite.
 It's hard to tell in these pictures, but you really could still see the speckledness of Don't Blink through Your Silver Lining, which was kind of cool.
 Your Silver Lining seems to be a little bit more white, though, while Don't Blink has more of a gray cast - reminding me a lot of Cookies and Cream on its own!
 I love all the chunkiness of Your Silver Lining, and how the pieces came out easily and made each nail look super unique and sparkly.
 NerdLacquer does not appear to be available anymore.  I'm hoping so much that this changes at a later date!  Pahlish, however is in full swing, when you catch her Etsy store open.  :)

 I was having some unanticipated mani indecision earlier today!
 After swatching random holos over my previous mani, swatching various things on a nail wheel, I decided on Pahlish Dark Parades (and I had thought I was going to do a Layla holo).
 I didn't want to deal with too many layers, so I opted for a base of one coat of Illamsqua Boosh.
 Then I applied Dark Parades using a combination of strokes and dabbing motions to maximize the glitter coverage.  I think the technique worked well!
 I topped everything with Gelous and Cult Nails Wicked Fast.  In fact, I just added an additional coat of Wicked Fast a little bit ago as it all settled down just a little bumpy.
 Great formula on Dark Parades, though!  Do you see the black bar on the index finger?  Love that.

 I can't say if she'll have Dark Parades available or not, but I can promise you that there will be gorgeous and amazing glittery polish to be had!
 Georgia was sunbathing while I took pictures.  She's been doing that a lot lately as it's been hotter than hot out.
This is a sort of odd picture of my right hand pinky.  I really love how the pond, grass, clouds, and sky look in the background.  Anyway, I took this to show how awesome and chunky that finger turned out!  It's my favorite.  And yay for the orange bar!  It's probably because I had been storing the polish bottle upside down to try and encourage all the glitters to come out and play!  The came...they played...but more so on that finger than the rest.

I do like to bend the rules when it serves a greater purpose and I'm all about being authentic. Here I am, take me or leave me! I suppose I'd call myself a sensitive soul. I think I feel things more deeply and ponder things more thoroughly than your average bear.
