Are you dizzy with excitement about nail polish?

I have only one picture of this, taken in my bathroom. I did two coats of Orly Viridian Vinyl, no top coat.

The picture doesn't look too terrible, but the application was rather dreadful for me. The polish was thick and goopy and I felt that it was hard to control and went on unevenly. I was so unhappy about the application and overall appearance that I took this straight off even before it dried. Maybe I'll give it another shot sometime...after thinning it?

I just figured out that I skipped a bunch of manis from who knows how long ago. D'oh! Lost files! This started with three coats of Orly Velvet Rope. PRETTY!

It has teeny tiny little silver glitter bits.

Then I did layering skittles with various Savvy shimmers. I'll break it down for you.

The bottle above is Glass Slipper and it is layered over the thumb.

Above is the bottle of Pink Fairy and it is layered over the index finger.

Above is the Magic Pumpkin bottle and it's layered over the middle finger. Cool, huh?

Above the bottle is Fairy Twinkle and it is over the ring finger.

The bottle above is Purple Potion and, you guessed it, it is layered on the pinky finger.

Above the bottle is Fairy Twinkle, again, and it is on the ring finger.

Magic Pumpkin bottle. It's on the middle finger. Can you even believe that it looks turquoise?! Love it!! These Savvys are definitely going to be lots of fun. I bet they look awesome over black, too.

This is the mani I was wearing when my BFF came to town for vacay a few weeks back. I started with three coats of Urban Decay Hashbury. It's a sheer magenta sort of purple with a slight iridescence or flash (but not duochrome).

I really love these little Urbans and I wish they had a full range of wildly exciting shades for me to choose from! Like, if they had thirty or so rockin' colors, and you could pick any six or so to make your own pack? That would be rad.

It's probably not a shocking surprise that I find myself loving hairy and bar holo glitters. Did you guess that by now? Some people find them kind of gross or creepy but I quite like them!

It's all about the pizazz, baby! I added a coat of pa A41. I see more pa polishes in my future, I can promise you that. Just wish they were easier for me to acquire.

If you hate hairy glitter, my apologies and I hope no one's eyes or sensibilities have been offended. But watch out! There will be more. Oh yes, there will be more.

This was my first time using RBL Teal, a polish loved by many. It applied flawlessly, and if my memory serves me, I think I did just one coat of it!

I put a coat of $OPI Club Scene Queen over top.

Club Scene Queen is a really shimmery, pretty polish that is rather sheer and methinks, just perfect for putting on top of lots of different colors!

My guess is that you could get a decent opacity with Club Scene Queen by doing three to four coats of it by itself. I have a feeling that the over all color would probably look a little smokier and less intensely blue/teal on its own.

Here is another spoil from my friend's trip to France, Illamasqua Jo'Mina. I've been wanting it ever since I knew it existed. Illamasqua & purple = true love.

I wish I had pictures of just Jo'Mina for you, but I suppose a quick search of the web should provide plenty of inspiration if needed. I tend to be very "Get er done!" when doing my manis, so I don't often take the time to snap pics of my base color.

In any case, it was two beautiful coats of Jo'Mina topped with a coat of China Glaze Laid Back Lilac. I recently found this in a local (and somewhat strange) beauty supply store along with a few other really old and mangy looking China Glaze pretties. :) It was my first real "Dusty" find ever!

This is the first post I have regarding the newly reformulated Sephora polishes. I picked up several when they launched about a month ago. They have gorgeous brightly colored cremes and a rainbow to choose from.

This is Yellow Umbrella. I believe I did two coats, but it might have been three.

The brush is wider and the polish supposedly dries faster. I think they were trying to mimic the SH Insta-Dris. I'm not going to comment on the dry time because I always use a quick-dry top coat and don't have any memory of the dry time being out of the ordinary in either direction.

Needless to say, this is a beautiful polish that applied very well and was a pleasure to work with and wear! It was a little weird getting used to the big brush, but I had it down in no time.

Have you tried any of these yet? What do you think?

I'm trying out doing separate posts for separate manis...which will now potentially include multiple posts a day (when the mood strikes). Hopefully this will make things easier for me in terms of posting.

I forgot to take notes on this mani, so I'm struggling to remember exactly what I used and how much of each. I know I started with LA Girl Metal Graphite, two coats.

Then, I'm pretty sure I used a coat of $OPI Sparkle Me Silver top coat.

This is when bottles in the pictures would've come in handy, no? :)

This mani was done during a very tumultuous night and I was experiencing extreme emotional distress for various ultimately non-threatening reasons. Yeah. Special. All that to say, I really loved how it turned out and Graphite is a super winner in my book! It's very shimmery and has a great application. I'm so glad I picked up a bunch of the LA Girl Metals.
