Are you dizzy with excitement about nail polish?

This is another spoil from having a friend willing to buy me polish when in NYC. I asked for Inglot O2M 647 thinking it was black, from the ink blob lookin' picture on Inglot's website.

That's right, I decided I would just try one in black because I couldn't decide on another color and was intrigued by the breathable enamel concept.

This is two coats of 647, by the way. So, I don't think I particularly believe that this polish is more breathable than any other, but I will say that it applied most excellently and wore well, too.

I highly recommend the formula, be it truly breathable or not! You can read more about these polishes at Inglot's site, here.

I cannot tell you how much I adore the shimmery vampiness of this color! It is so much better than just plain black!

Now, it would have been perfectly glorious all on its own, but I couldn't leave it. I added a coat of Inglot 207.

These pictures are under the little Ikea lamp light I use at my desk where I paint my nails.

The gold holo sparkles are just too pretty!

Check out that rainbow above!!

And now for the smorgasbord of usual poolside pics.

See how the glitter takes on a greenish yellow look above? COOL!

I took way too many pictures. Yes, I did. It was just too beautiful.

I hope you enjoyed that as much as I did!

Hello and Happy Saturday! This was a winning combination from Inglot. I used three coats of 835 and then one coat of 202.

835 is a slightly frosty mid-toned purple. It's a little bit more purple and less blue in real life.

And 202 is a gorgeous flakie with flashes of yellow, green, pink, and orange.

I really love the Inglot flakies for applying well and dispersing themselves nicely across the nail.

My super fab friend got these for me in NY. I want to say she's going back up in the Spring - so I will be plotting another "order" for that trip, for sure! :) It's good to have good friends.

I don't have very many Inglot polishes, but so far, I think most of the the regular colors I have are the same slightly frosty kind of finish. I wonder if they do other finishes?

I don't think I'd wear the frosty-ish finishes on their own, not typically, but they are super duper for layering!

Sorry that the skin around my nails looks like prunes in all these pictures! Yikes.

Have a terrific day! I will be doing a pedi/mani on myself, as I often do on Saturdays. I'm not sure what I'm in the mood for - SO MANY to choose from!! :)

I gave Illamasqua Viridian a little sexified make-over. What do you think?

I added a coat of Anna Sui 209, one of the rad flakies from her latest Fall collection.

It's crazy and funk-ay, and I like it!

The big mega-chunk flakes really have a great glow about them. Almost unnatural.

See how they look all radioactive and alive?!

Plus, you gotta love the awesome rose-scented-ness of it all. At least, I do!

Here is the lovely Illamasqua Viridian. I did two coats. Like Scarab, it's very opaque and applies so perfectly!

I didn't really expect to want this one, either, based on the promo pics, but once I saw it in person I was swooning, big time.

It's the awesome jeweled glowiness that gets me, every time!

Plus, green with a blue-twinge?! Sign me up! I'm a big fan of greens and blues...so, it's a no-brainer.

I'm starting to think Illamasqua can do no wrong.

This would look terrific with some stamping or layering, too!

Ya dig it? I do!

Illamasqua Scarab. Saw it in the bottle and knew I had to have it, despite the fact that when I saw the promo pics I thought to myself, "Oh, nah, a red. I won't need that!" It's so glowy and has incredible depth. Plus, I do get pulled in by glowy, shimmery, or sparkly reds.

I decided to try layering it over other colors to see what the effect would be! I used, in order from left to right, two coats each of: Essence Fabuless, Scarab, Chi My Red Hot Martian Lover, and OPI Funkey Dunkey.

Aren't they all cute...just waiting to be covered up?

Well, covered up is right! I added just one coat of Scarab over each nail and this was my result.

Hello, opacity! You really can't even tell that there is anything under the Scarab.

I had to laugh at myself for not realizing that this would happen, but still, I thought it would only be fair to post my comical results.

And Scarab is so stinking gorgeous, no matter how you do it. Again, with the Illamasquas, they practically apply themselves!! This one was a little thick in texture, but it didn't affect the outcome one bit.

Do you have this one? Will you be getting it?

I recently acquired the wonderful Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Turquoise Opal. Hooray! Two of them. What!?

I layered one coat over one coat of Illamasqua Boosh (black).

Yes, you heard me right, I have two Turquoise Opals.

It was actually a total stupid mistake, but I have to say, a good one!

I mean, how could having two of these be a bad thing? Right?

I ordered off of Ebay and I may have accidentally hit the "back" button at an inopportune time.

I had a reason for doing it, but it somehow accidentally made me buy two.

I even told the seller...but I don't think they cared. I would have backed off of one of them if they had let me.

Oh well! Happy accidents, I say!

I only wish my million pictures better showed off the beauty of this polish.

It truly looks amazing, and in nearly every type of lighting!!

It's so much fun the wear and look at.

And it even applied terrifically! I was very worried that I'd get bubbles. I think I'm having memories from the good old days, when I owned some Nail Prisms and really knew nothing about painting nails in a decent or proper manner. I probably slapped on three thick coats and had bubbles - yeah.

Forgive me, I'm rambling. All that to say that this one does behave nicely if you are nice to it. :) I think it's probably most beautiful layered over black or a very dark color.

I hope you've enjoyed the pictures and if you are able to get Turquoise Opal (or Boosh for that matter), I highly recommend it!

This Is Me!

My photo
I love color, beauty, creativity, animals, and being care-free. I'm not care-free, in reality, but would like to think it's an attainable state of being! I do like to bend the rules when it serves a greater purpose and I'm all about being authentic. Here I am, take me or leave me! I suppose I'd call myself a sensitive soul. I think I feel things more deeply and ponder things more thoroughly than your average bear.
