I'm wearing two coats of Cocoa Crystal topped with Crystal top coat.

Cocoa Crystal is a cool-toned taupe brown holo. I wore it for Thanksgiving and still have it on. It's a really lovely shade and makes me feel sophisticated somehow.

The application was great on this one. I did do my second coat heavier in some places, which is to say that maybe it could go for a third coat, but I easily made it work with just two.

Blaze Crystal and Starlight Turkey Day Sale!

This is two easy coats of Starlight and Sparkles Blaze Crystal topped with Crystal top coat. The application was lovely and the wear has been great, especially for a holo!

I love, love, love this color, but what are we going to call it?! I get so confused with the warm metallics. I want to say it's gold leaning bronze, but then I'm also feeling like it leans copper. In most lighting it looks like a warm, soft, gold on me and I find it quite flattering on my cool toned skin.

Fast forward to three days after application, and we have sun!! Yay! Pardon the small chip on my index finger. I am really impressed with the Crystal top coat so far. It dried fast and shiny and has done a good job protecting the mani. It's not quite as fast drying as SV, but then again, what is? The texture and consistency are great as well - not too thick and not too thin. Not overly smelly. :)

It Glows!

This is Cult Nails Afterglow. I needed three coats here.

This is a beautiful and unique shade of brown. It has a coppery burgundy feel to it as well as being slightly duochrome. It also has beautiful sparkles that look nearly like glitter in my photos!

It's too hard to explain in words and I fear my pictures don't do it any justice either. If you love warm Fall colors, then you need Afterglow. It's amazing.

Sadly, my wear has been crapola on this, I'm not sure why. One nail peeled off in a complete sheet and another nail has a big chip off the side in under 24 hours. I'm sad that I didn't get to enjoy this mani a little while longer!

I Got Distracted

Forgive my relatively lame photos of Cult Nails I Got Distracted. Despite the pic being blurry, check out how cool and holo-rific the bottle looks above!!

I used two coats of I Got Distracted, a coat of Shimmer Glass, then a coat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast. While they look mostly smooth here, they are actually pretty bumpy in real life.

My wear has been quite good, though, so I am pleased. I'm on day four right now with some minor tip wear. This is a gorgeous and unique color that I instantly adore. The first coat applied a little less than perfect but everything was just peachy by the second coat.

The base of this polish looked deep blue as I was applying the first coat. The overall effect appears to be black with lots of green and holo glitter. It's SO PRETTY. Very space-y looking!

Giant Catch Up Spam

I'm tired of being back-logged on pictures and posts, so voila, here is a catch up post! This first one is a dark grayish green StrangeBeautiful topped with OPI Simmer and Shimmer. One coat of each.

Below is Butter London Jack the Lad. I believe it was just two coats, but don't quote me on that.

Much prettier in the bottle, under the beaming lights at Nordstorm, but still lovely on the nail.

Next up is Illamasqua Creator at two coats. I freaking love this one, no surprise there.

I'm not sure why I decided to include the above blurry picture, but we'll just move right along and get to some that are in focus.

Creator has tiny silver particles that resemble flakes. They are irregular in shape. Also, there are very occasional holo glitters (see that one blue twinkle in the bottle above?) and medium sized silver hexes (I think).

You can see a silver hex on the very edge of my middle finger below. Great formula, as always.

And now for the voting day nails! I used a coat of RBL Teal and then topped it with a coat of Shimmer Polish Nicole.

I really loved wearing this because it was so festive and pretty. It wore well for a good three days, too. Yeah, that's "good" for me. Anything past two days is good in my book.

I love the glitters in Nicole - the shapes, the colors, the ratios, the dispersion. Love, love, love it! I used a combination of dabbing and painting motions to apply it. Shimmer polishes can be found here, although it appears the shop is closed until Nov. 26.

I may have saved the best for last, which is Pahlish Toxic and Timeless!

I used two coats and this mani also wore for a respectable three days. I finished the mani with Gelous, Instant Artificials, and then Butter London's quick dry top coat. It was perfectly smooth and glassy.

I had more big yellow hexes on my right hand, probably because I didn't take the time to shake my bottle super thoroughly and it had settled some when I grabbed it to do my mani. Nonetheless, I absolutely adore the result, the polish, and it lived up to my every grand expectation!

If you don't have Toxic and Timeless, I'm going to say that you need to get it! It's amazing. Check out all of Pahlish's wonderful creations here. I'm really excited about her upcoming holiday collection. Cannot wait!

Desert Fruit

This is two coats of Contrary Polish Desert Fruit.

It's a beautiful and rich plum with subtle red shimmer. The formula and application were terrific, as always.

Fly-ceratops

Here is a swatch of Two Birds Fly-ceratops. I used Revlon Haunted Heart (two coats) as my underwear.

Fly-ceratops has big black squares, medium blue squares, and small neon green glitters. It applied easily and I think the glitters distributed themselves pretty nicely across the nails.

I apologize for the smudgy bit on my ring finger. Apparently I did not wait long enough between coats and rushed my swatch. In my defense, I was hurrying to get the last of the sun light. :)
