 Right now I'm wearing three coats of Anna Sui 904.
 Her polishes are now in new dress bottles!  They are super cute (and also 2 mL smaller than the old rose bottles).
 Sorry about the picture above being blurry - I just wanted to show you how it looks in lower lighting.  It's very dark, but does still look green.
 This color has some awesome blue and green shimmer in it!
 It applied very nicely and was almost a two-coater, but needed the third to even out everything.  I got a little shrink at my tips, I think because I paired the wrong top coats together (Orly In a Snap and Seche Vite).
The polishes still smell like roses, yes.  I ordered this and others off of Urban Outfitter's website.

 So...I may have been dragging my feet a little in posting this one.  It's two coats of China Glaze Trendsetter with a coat of Anna Sui 802.
 This was inspired and requested by a dear friend at work.
 Here's the thing - I know it's ugly.  I still feel compelled to occasionally buy and even wear ugly polish colors.  It's true.  At least it's GLITTERY and ugly!
Yes, I do realize it's not going to be everyone's favorite mani.  I'm okay with that.  :)  Just posting for the sake of posting.  And who knows?  Maybe even a few people do like it!  I was surprised that I got a couple of compliments when wearing it.

For this mani, I started with two coats of Color Club's Wink, Wink, Twinkle. It's a neon purply fuchsia that has tons of holo glitter in it. I know it's holo glitter because as I was removing the polish I saw all that gorgeous holo hiding inside! On the nail it just looks sparkly and iridescent. Still very pretty and very loud.

Then, I added China Glaze Crackle Lightning Bolt and Anna Sui Dolly Girl 008 after that.

I think it turned out pretty cool.

I wore this manicure to Silver Springs today where I saw lots of alligators, crocodiles, parrots, bears, cougars, cute little monkeys, and even fed a giraffe! I did! And I got to see and hear Jars of Clay in concert. Awesome day!

I wore this today. It's three coats of Anna Sui 013, from the Spring 2011 collection, with a coat of China Glaze Snow Globe on top.

I thought 013 was going to be a really cool white with subtle shimmer, but it wasn't building up to white for me. Also, my nails are stained enough (although not terribly so) that I think it made the overall effect look more peachy and stained than white and pure.

Yes, I could have put it over an opaque white or even a jellyish white. Probably should have!

It looked fairly pretty in real life - not as gross as it does here. Certainly not one of my favorite manicures, but frilly, light, and definitely different from what I normally do.

This wore just horribly on me, too. :( I don't know what's going on with my wear time lately.

That brings me to my final, and most important point. This Anna Sui polish is NOT ROSE SCENTED. WTH?! I do not understand. I am so disappointed! All of my others are. I was rather despondent over it last night. I bought it off of Urban Outfitters website, which, I have bought Anna Suis from before and not had any problems. I'm just wondering what the problem could be or if they are no longer going to be scented. I need to test the other four I bought and see if they are scented or not, too, and then I will likely contact Anna Sui's company to ask for an explanation. I'll keep you posted. Also, if anyone has relevant information or experience, please share!

Ha ha! I really love the name of this polish, Adios Mo Fo, by BB Couture for Nails. It's pretty funny. Also, not one you necessarily want to tell the name of to your grandma or something.

I used two coats of Adios Mo Fo.

Then I topped it with a coat of Anna Sui 107.

This was a super pretty combination that I really enjoyed wearing.

The Anna Sui has big square silver glitters along with smaller silver glitter and iridescent blue glitter. Woo hoo!

I don't think the light blue jelly base of 107 would likely show up much on its own, but it would probably be very pretty with three or four coats (I'm thinking a la RBL Bikini Bottom)!

Time for a silver blinged out look! I started with two coats of China Glaze Cheers to You, from their Holiday collection. It's a standard silver chrome finish. It applied well.

I added a coat of Anna Sui 082, which is a clear base filled with silver chunky holographic glitter

Rose-scented silver blingtasticness!

I love glitters on top of metals, but I also find that they look odd or "off" somehow.

I wore this mani to my family's early Thanksgiving dinner that we had the Saturday before Thanksgiving.

My Mom was kind enough to have an early Thanksgiving dinner/get-together for us because she and my father were headed off to Tennessee to be with other family and my brother and sister-in-law, who also live in town here, were going to be going off to Michigan to be with other family.

That left Sid and I alone for actual Thanksgiving. Needless to say, our before Thanksgiving Thanksgiving was fabulous and delicious!!

I was thinking my manicure might blind or otherwise catch someone's attention at dinner, but alas, it did not!

Maybe everyone was busy thinking about how yummy the food was.

I do love a good silver polish, and Cheers to You is no exception.

The Anna Sui glitter is terrific as well. It has a big brush that makes it applying very easy. I say that, and I am not a fan of all big brushes. With this one, it works well.

I gave Illamasqua Viridian a little sexified make-over. What do you think?

I added a coat of Anna Sui 209, one of the rad flakies from her latest Fall collection.

It's crazy and funk-ay, and I like it!

The big mega-chunk flakes really have a great glow about them. Almost unnatural.

See how they look all radioactive and alive?!

Plus, you gotta love the awesome rose-scented-ness of it all. At least, I do!

Back by popular demand!  It's more Anna Sui!!  Here we have the lovely Dolly Girl mini 404.  It's a smokin' hawt fire-engine red with shimmery glittah!  It screams:  Look at me!!


Here is Anna Sui 201, a creamy mauevy, lavender with delicate shimmah.  I had some awesome shrinkage, as you can see, partly due to Poshe and partly due to my need to take a shower very shortly after painting my nails.  Did you even know that showering too soon after painting your nails with a quick-drying top coat could cause shrinkage?!  I didn't until recently, thanks to the lovely ladies on MUA.

Shrinkage or not, it's still gorgeous.

And last is the odd one out, Nfu-Oh 65.  This is a celebratory mani for my best bud coming to visit me today.  Hoooooraaaaaay!!  I love this color very muchly.  :D




Isn't it just ridiculous?!  Doesn't it make you want to scream/cry/sing/shout?!

Sunday night.  How does the time go by so fast?  Probably traveling around like a maniac makes time go faster, huh?  Sheesh.  I'm over it!  I'd like to just stay put for a while.  :D  

So I got back from Houston late Friday night.  I found new polishes at Urban Outfitters while I was there.  Hooray!  They look really fun.  I'll have to take pics for you soon.  I picked up some really great blues along with some fall-ish colors.  I also found fabulous blue Essies from last year, I believe, dirt cheap at Trade Secret!  St. Barth's Blue, Aruba Blue, and Barbados Blue.  I have to say I've never found anything fab at my local Trade Secret.  Thank you, Houston!!

Here are a few shots of the mani I did the night before I left for TX.  It's Anna Sui 302.  I only have pictures from indoors at night, so please forgive the lack of shiny daylight colorful goodness.  It's still pretty impressive!

Silver, shimmering fleshy pink.  

I decided to try out my newest Nars, Tokaido Express from the Fall collection.  It's a groovy deep plum with shimmah.  However, as you will see all too soon, it bubbled like maaaaaad on me!  Wha?!?!  Why, Nars?  I did the same things I always do.  The formula seemed fine, too.  Oh, bother.  Bubbaliciousness, I say.  

It pains me to even post that nonsense.  For an easy save I slapped on some flakie goodness.  I know flakie is properly spelled with a "y" at the end.  I just like how it looks with the "ie."  Here is the Nars with one coat of Nfu-Oh 52.  Totally transformed!  

I realize the sun is just blinding in that picture (welcome to Orlando).  It washed everything out.  Below is a most excellent picture taken in indirect sunlight.  Viola!

Isn't she a beaut!?  I can't figure out why with the shimmering flakies the pics make the polish finish look almost dusty or something.  It definitely does not look the least bit dusty in real life.  Anyway, if the bubbles are still under there somewhere I'm not able to see or feel them.  :)  Bye-bye bubbles!
