DizzyNails

Are you dizzy with excitement about nail polish?

I seem to get cravings for reds when I have wee nubs. I wanted a red the other day and picked L.A. Girl Rock Star in Addict.

I used three coats here. It's a beautiful red jelly with lots of small gold flakes.

I apologize that the color looks strange in these pictures. It was early morning sun.

This polish is so pretty! At three coats it gets deep, like blood. The shimmer of the flakes is just fabulous, as well.

This wore well on me, too! I think it has to do with the nails being so short. I got a good three days out of it with only a little tip wear. :)

This is one of the snowman polishes my friend got for me. It's a blue foil. I love it! I started with two coats.

Next, I added a coat of Anise Electric Attraction. I found Anise polish at Whole Foods Market recently. It appears to be a local brand, out of Miami. They have a few really pretty glitters with teeny tiny multi-colored glitter.

Check it out! So hawt! I wish I had more pictures for you, but I think you get the idea.

I had a bad break a little over a week ago. Instead of using a wrap, I opted to cut down to mega uber nubs. I'm going to say this is as short as they can go!

I started here with three coats of Funky Fingers Riot. It's a deep neon purple. The pictures, of course, make the bottle appear much more blue than it really is. It's a true purple, folks!

If you look at the purple base to my nails, and compare that to the bottle, you can see what I mean. The base color on the nails looks very close to being accurate while the bottle looks lighter and more blue.

I added a coat of Funky Fingers Manic Flamingo. It's a sheer shimmery pink with blue shimmer mixed in. It reminds me of OPI DS Sensation.

I didn't get pictures of just the two FFs together, and while it was very pretty, I opted to go all out with Jesse's Girl Confetti.

Confetti is an awesome hairy bar glitter with pink and blue bars.

I really love Confetti because the size of the bars is tiny compared to most. It looks really delicate and cute.

I think this mani looked even nicer in person.

What do you think? Would you pair these three together?

Hello, Friends! I'm back! Sorry It took me so long to get organized here. I tried to post last night but was so tired I could hardly see straight! I had a lovely time with my friend, when I wasn't at work, so thank you for all the well-wishes. :)

To start this manicure, I used OPI Cuckoo For This Color. I'm not sure if it needed two or three coats...I'm leaning toward saying two. It's a gorgeous dark teal green.

I added a coat of Funky Fingers Blitzen.

Blitzen is a holo glitter in a green jelly base. The green jelly base leans a little bit blue but it's definitely more green than China Glaze Atlantis.

Now, I do think the result of these two combined does look a lot like Atlantis.

My best friend got Blitzen and some other REALLY cool Funky Finger polishes for me from Pennsylvania. She also got me two Jesse's Girls and a Snowman! I'm so grateful to her for picking out amazing colors for me of polishes I can't easily get here.

Obviously, I had a hard time figuring out how to hold the Funky Fingers bottle for pictures, without my fingers looking all contorted and strange next to the bottle.

I think I've got it down, now, though. Just gotta sneak that index finger around the other side of the bottle top.

Blitzen is just so pretty. If you can get it, you should!

The next time I use it, I'll have to try it just on its own, I think.

I hesitate to say this, but I might be entering a phase of using polishes on their own - as in not layered. Currently I have on one polish on my toes and one on my fingers. Craziness! It's too soon to say for sure, though.

This last picture is my favorite. :)

Hi, friends, Nation, and followers! I just wanted to let you know that I'm still kickin', and still painting hot nails (of course). My best friend is visiting me now, so I'm trying to give all my extra time to the endeavor of having fun with her. I will resume regular posts very soon - no later than Sunday night. In the mean time, get excited for Estessimo TiNS! I'm waiting on an order and am (fingers crossed) expecting it any day now! *bursts from anticipation*

This was the one I wore today, until just recently when I changed it. It's two coats of Zoya Robyn with one coat of CND Effects Amethyst Sparkle.

I apologize that the pictures do not show the sparkle well at all! I took these in quite a hurry this morning. The sparkle was actually a very pretty pinkish purple.

Robyn looks more bold and slightly deeper toned in real life. It's mind-bogglingly bright - obnoxious, really.

I like it! It applied very well. And I still think CND Effects are super cool and fun, even though you just have to take my word for it on this one.

Well, folks, I survived a fairly uneventful New Year's Eve at my house, doing mostly nothing. :) Oh - I did do MY NAILS. Here they are!

It's two coats of OPI DS Radiance (basic silver foil) with two coats of Milani Jewel FX Silver. I got the Milani off Cherry Culture. I haven't seen it anywhere in person.

I've seen some others do a similar variation with the gold glitter version and it has looked way more smooth and perfect and amazing. I ask myself why?

I think they must have used a toothpick to place some of the glitter pieces, because mine certainly didn't want to smoothly, evenly, perfectly coat the nail.

In any case, for a lazy application with no tricks or fuss, it still looks pretty sweet! When I look down at it, it kind of reminds me of a hammered metal effect. Very cool!

I used two top coats over it all and it's actually not too bumpy feeling. It's by no means glass smooth, but it's smoother than you'd think by just looking at it.

I'm starting to think I might need another short break from glitter after this one. ;)

I hope you all have a good day and aren't too messed up from last night. :)

This Is Me!

My photo
I love color, beauty, creativity, animals, and being care-free. I'm not care-free, in reality, but would like to think it's an attainable state of being! I do like to bend the rules when it serves a greater purpose and I'm all about being authentic. Here I am, take me or leave me! I suppose I'd call myself a sensitive soul. I think I feel things more deeply and ponder things more thoroughly than your average bear.
