Are you dizzy with excitement about nail polish?

This was a super simple yet mega fab mani. I used one coat of Illamasqua Boosh, my favorite, most perfect black ever, and then one coat of Nicole by OPI Spark My Mistletoe.

I saw a post on MUA where someone had used Spark My Mistletoe over black and it was so stunning I knew I had to recreate it for myself!

Isn't it just groovy!?

Quick and easy, too!

I don't wear reds too often, but this is a red look I could rock out any time of the year!

Okay, so this was a really rad idea in my head. I'll put Rococo Gold Leaf Lacquer over Zoya Crystal! WOOOO!

Hmmm....doesn't quite look like it did in my head.

Hmmmm....gold leaves look like splattered egg yolks. Everything looks so textured!!

I did three coats of Crystal and one coat of Gold Leaf Lacquer.

I also had some bubbling from using Barielle Manicure Extender under my top coat. I keep having this problem with it, whenever I choose to use it, so I'm thinking to myself, "Self, ya might want to lay off of that one!"

In any case, it wasn't as bad as I initially thought it was. It kind of looks like an old map or a space view of planet Earth!

Weird, funky, and crazy.

Oh! And if you didn't already know this, Rococo Gold Leaf Lacquer stinks to HIGH HEAVENS!! There is nothing else comparable to the unique and pungent stench of it. Mmmmm....stinky gold leaves!!

I know I didn't get hardly any decent pictures of my last use of Gold Leaf, with Illamasqua Nudge, but it looked way awesome. Maybe it just looks better over smooth, sexy cremes?

I still want to try it over a plain black (Boosh, of course), maybe over a vampy red, dark purple creme, and maybe a navy? Ooo and a deep hunter green or like Rampage!! I have many ideas...probably should stick to the ones that I know will be amazing. :)

I also want a back-up of Gold Leaf Lacquer!! I don't want to run out.

Here is another new Milani, Gold & Glitz. I used two coats just to make it perfectly awesome and blinged out.

This gold has a lot of depth and character. It contains a mix of gold and what looks to be coppery (orange) glitters.

Again, I don't usually wear a lot of golds, but I found this to be very pretty and not unflattering.

It's almost like having jewelry on your nails! Crazy and cool.

I should have watermarked these pictures (along with the ones of Silver Dazzle). Oh bother. Don't steal them, okay? :) I mean it! Thanks.

I hope you are all surviving the pre-holiday madness. I got some last minute online shopping done just now. I still have a couple of gifts to secure before I can completely relax! And my Christmas tree now has two ornaments on it. Baby steps.

I've embraced Holiday-esque nails more so this year than in years past. This is three coats of China Glaze Mistletoe Kisses with one coat of Party Hearty. It reminds me of a Christmas Tree! Which reminds me that I still need to put decorations up on mine. :(

I totally loved how this turned out and it was just a joy to look at my nails with this festivity all over them. I might have to do it again before or on Christmas day!

Next time maybe I'll put it over Jolly Holly. Deck the Halls!

This is two coats of Milani Silver Dazzle. It's one from their latest collection of, I believe, seven glitters. I got them all, of course!

I took tons of pictures - couldn't help myself. It's just so stunning and pretty.

I managed to grab a bottle that does not have the writing on the front for some quirky reason. It should say Milani and One Coat Glitter or something like that.

You could nearly get away with one coat, but I find it easiest to just do two with these. One left it looking ever so slightly patchy around the edges.

They are all pretty easy to apply, despite being really thick in texture.

I have to angrily shake my finger at Milani because on the back label it tells users to simply add a bit of nail polish remover when the polish gets too thick. !!! REALLY?!?!

For anyone that might not already know - you don't want to do that. Get yourself some nail polish thinner (easily found at nail supply stores) and add anywhere from 5-15 drops, depending on how thick the polish is.

Back to Silver Dazzle. Love it with big, giant hearts! It's so unique and gorgeous. The silver sparkles like magic stars in a night sky.

It looks ridiculously amazing in all types of lighting!

Get these, people, get these. All of them. Quickly. :)

I wasn't sure if I was even going to post these pictures, but figured, why not? I started with three coats of Shades by Barielle Jess' Champagne Toast and then did two coats of Wet 'N Wild Prancer.

Jess' Champagne Toast is a frosty lilac that looks silvery gray in some lights. It also has an almost duochrome quality in the bottle, looking pink, purple, blue, and silver all at once. There is lots of pink micro glitter in it which is very pretty.

The problem is that Jess' Champagne Toast looks a little lumpy on. It's also very frosty, which I knew it would be, yet I still imagined it could be more spectacular on the nail, if that makes sense. Wet 'N Wild Prancer is awesome, but I had some difficulty with glitter placement using two rather thick coats. I could have placed the larger pieces with a toothpick, but it would have been a lot of work that I was trying to avoid! I still think it's really fun, I just wish it had a higher ratio of glitter bits to clear base. Also, the bottle is itty bitty tiny.

Ha ha! I really love the name of this polish, Adios Mo Fo, by BB Couture for Nails. It's pretty funny. Also, not one you necessarily want to tell the name of to your grandma or something.

I used two coats of Adios Mo Fo.

Then I topped it with a coat of Anna Sui 107.

This was a super pretty combination that I really enjoyed wearing.

The Anna Sui has big square silver glitters along with smaller silver glitter and iridescent blue glitter. Woo hoo!

I don't think the light blue jelly base of 107 would likely show up much on its own, but it would probably be very pretty with three or four coats (I'm thinking a la RBL Bikini Bottom)!
